Valerie has called the greater Harrisburg area “home” all her life, except for two short detours to

Arizona. Suffice it to say, she’s a long-distance relocation specialist! She has long enjoyed sailing and

sailboat racing on the Chesapeake Bay and other waters, and supporting good stewardship of our

environment and our community is important to her. Valerie has served a variety of causes and

organizations throughout the Capital Region over her 41-year career, including the efforts of 9 area

Chambers of Commerce, the Harrisburg Builder’s Association, local animal rescues, and senior living

advisory boards. What’s so great about living in Central PA, you ask? “Everything! Start with the

historically steady economy and general affordability of the region – regardless of your stage of life.

Take in the beauty of four distinct seasons of weather, none of which are overly harsh. Activities galore

with world class trout fishing; several amazing ski resorts (some with year-round activities); golf courses

that challenge your best skills; entertaining off-Broadway theatre and performances; the parks,

concerts, museums and spas that are Hershey!; scenic trails to hike; creeks, lakes and rivers to navigate

by boat or kayak; serene campgrounds to explore; and award-winning restaurants throughout the

expanded region offering a variety of culinary experiences that will completely delight. Travelling to and

from is easy, as well!

The Capital Region is served by two major airports serving commercial, corporate,

and public aviation (Harrisburg International/MDT and Lancaster Airport/LNS) as well as two regional

airports (FBOs) serving corporate and public use (Capital City Airport/CXY and York Aviation-

Thomasville/THV). You’re also only a 1.5-hour jaunt to Baltimore-Washington International/BWI, 2

hours to Philadelphia International/PHL, Ronald Reagan Washington National/DCA or Dulles/IAD, 3

hours to Newark Liberty International/EWR, and 3.5 hours to John F Kennedy International/JFK. Better

still, you are very centrally located to enjoy easy drive times or train travel to experience all the Mid-

Atlantic, and the coastal/inland areas North, South and beyond have to offer culturally and

recreationally, as well as being a powerful hub for national and international industry!
